THE COMPANY

Meat East Anglia Trades (Ipswich) Ltd or M.E.A.T (Ipswich) Ltd was established in 1988 by the late John Croxford. The premises include a classroom area, conference room and preparation area, we also specialise in ‘in-house’ training.

The company logo, as you can see from above includes the words:

The mission of M.E.A.T (Ipswich) Ltd is to instil these virtues into members of staff, learners, and all in the meat industry who have contact with our organisation.

We strive for continuous improvement and our dedication to staff development with the achievement of Investor In People in 1996 re-recognised in May 1999 and May 2002.

In 2002 a Level II learner, a Level III learner and a Level IV learner received National awards for their achievements and portfolios. They were dually invited to the Butchers Hall for a presentation lunch and prize giving ceremony.

During the Adult Learning Inspectorate inspection, a team of three inspectors and a specialist advisor spent a total of 12 days at M.E.A.T (Ipswich) Ltd during September 2001. We received a grade 3 in Leadership and Management, a grade 2 in Quality Assurance, and a grade 2 in Equality and Diversity. We have also been placed in the Good Practise Guide as one of only 5 adult training providers praised for Leadership and Management.

M.E.A.T (Ipswich) Ltd provides Apprenticeships, Advanced Apprenticeships and NVQ training Nationally. We also deliver management, hygiene, and NVQ training.

We specialise in tailoring our training to individuals’ requirements, needs and aspirations.
