The LSC’s vision is that by 2010, young people and adults in England have the knowledge and skills matching the best in the world and are part of a truly competitive workforce. It is only by working in partnership with employers that we will be able to achieve this.
How it Works: Five Simple Steps to Training
By ensuring your employees have the right skills to do the best job, Train to Gain can help boost productivity and keep you ahead of the competition.
Working closely with a highly experienced Train to Gain Skills Broker, you can provide quality, affordable training for your employees. Together we can:
- Identify the skills your business needs
- Pinpoint the right training
- Agree a tailored training package
- Find available funding
- Review the progress you are making
Once you register your interest MEAT will pass your details on to a Broker who will then contact you to make sure the training we would like to offer you is the best for your business. The Broker will then issue MEAT with a unique number for your company and the Broker will then work closely with MEAT to ensure you, as an employer, have access to the full Train to Gain services.
Jane Dale or Elaine Wright will visit you and compile a Training Needs Analysis (TNA), Learning Plan and complete relevant paper work with yourself and candidates. MEAT would then supply the knowledge needed for the NVQ via workbooks, DVDs and regular visits from your friendly named assessor.
Elaine will telephone candidates every fortnight (except during the Christmas period) for a tutorial and give support throughout your candidates training programme. Your candidate’s assessor will arrange 6-7 weekly visits at a time convenient to all parties.
We will then telephone you in two weeks to ascertain your interest level.
